After the latest education news, we'll interview Shino Tanikawa, parent activist and recently appointed member of the Board of Regents about some of the key issues they are dealing with, including new regulations to ensure private schools including Yeshivas provide basic instruction in English, math and science; and ideas to revamp high school graduation requirements that are currently based on passing five high-stakes exams.
