Bios: Dr. MarkAlain Dery is an infectious diseases specialist, boarded in both internal medicine and infectious diseases. He has extensive experience responding to global disasters, including Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the Haiti earthquake in 2010. Dr. Dery hasresponded to viral outbreaks as well,including working as a clinical epidemiologist for theWold Health Organization (WHO)in Sierra Leone during the historic Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa. Prior to his work with COVID-19, he was (and still is) working as an HIV and Hepatitis C specialist,advocating for healthcare for all. He is also the founder of the community radio station 102.3FM WHIV-LP, radio dedicated to human rights and social justice.

"Doc Griggs” is the health and wellness awareness persona of Eric Griggs, M.D., a New Orleans-based Community Medicine and Health Educator who has dedicated his professional life to raising health and wellness awareness in communities across the United States. Doc Griggs prides himself on his ability to clearly communicate the sometimes complicated topics within health and healthcare, a skill which is especially beneficial in the era of COVID-19.
