Synopsis:

In this week’s segment we discuss US foreign policy and ask whether Donald Trump will maintain or change policies he carried out in his first term. But first we analyze the 2024 election domestically and ask why there was a resounding victory for Trump and the republicans.

Jacqueline Luqman is a radical activist based in Washington, D.C.; as well as co-founder of Luqman Nation, an independent Black media outlet that can be found on YouTube (here and here ), Facebook and other outlets. She joins us from Washington to discuss the 2024 elections results, which make Donald Trump the president elect with a resounding victory.

Dr. Gerald Horne is an author and historian who currently holds the John J. and Rebecca Moores Chair of History and African American Studies at the University of Houston. He joins us from Houston to talk about US foreign policy in the wake of Donald Trump’s resounding victory and return to the white house. What will change? What will stay the same? What does Trump’s previous tenure as president tell us about his foreign policy legacy? Dr. Horne will provide analysis.
