Tropical Storm Dorian is headed toward Puerto Rico and it’s expected to turn into a hurricane. Our regular climate guest, Alexander Kaufman, is in Puerto Rico, and he noted that by yesterday afternoon, grocery store aisles in San Juan had been largely depleted of water and other supplies in anticipation of the storm. And yet, all Donald Trump can talk about is how much money Congress approved in aid for the island, in inflated numbers that don’t reflect the chronic need Puerto Rico has for help combating the oncoming storm.
