Synopsis:

"To Sidney, With Love"

This week our show is dedicated to our beloved Sidney Poitier -- actor, director, producer, author, and civil rights activist.

Michael Dinwiddie, Associate Professor at NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study, will provide the historical, cultural, social, and political context of Poitier's career. Drama Desk and AUDELCO Award winner Richard Wesley will speak about his relationship with Mr. Poitier and writing the screenplays, "Let's Do It Again" and "Uptown Saturday Night," both directed by Poitier. And independent producer, personality, and writer Patrick L. Riley will talk about what it was like to interview the iconic artist. The conversation will also include some of the famous music associated with his films. Be assured that "Let's Do It Again" and "To Sir, With Love" will be heard!
