Synopsis: Today our show focused on a project envisioned by our incacerated comrade Justin Kaliebe called #PrisonsKill. #PrisonsKill was envisioned along the lines of #MeToo as a space where formerly and currently incarcerated people can share stories on their own terms. This first installment focuses on MDC Brooklyn, New York City’s federal detention center where Just was previously incarcerated.
This special episode of It’s a Good Day featured Just’s first #PrisonsKill essay and an interview producer Joergen Ostensen conducted with a woman named NyAsia, whose loved one is currently held at MDC.
