She also has written a new awa - winning book, called Cutting School: Privatization, Segregation, and the End of Public Education, which discusses how America’s segregated school system came to be the way it is. 
  • Prof. Jamila Michener: assistant prof. at Cornell’s dept of gov’t. She’s got a book out now, called Fragmented Democracy: Medicaid, Federalism and Unequal Politics, which discusses the political landscape for black, Latinx, and low - income Americans.
