ON THE COMMITTEE SF'S RADICAL IMPROV GROUP
On tonight’s show we’ll be joined by film and improvisational theater-maker Sam Shaw to discuss his doc-in-progress on The Committee, San Fransisco’s legendary and currently unsung radical improvisational theater company, born in the 1960’s, brainchild of Second City alumnus Alan Meyerson; famous for its biting social satire, political protest and vehement anti-war stance; and home to such now-celebrated improvising artists as Del Close, Gary Goodrow, Carl Gottlieb, Peter Bonerz and Howard Hessman.
Hosted by Janet Coleman and David Dozer
