LATINO VOICES: POLITICS, LANGUAGE, AND IDENTITY

Tune to WBAI 99.5 FM New York this Sunday, October 22, when hosts Jeff Simmons and Carlos Menchaca focus on Latino Voices: Politics, Language, and Identity. First up, Mark Hugo Lopez of the Pew Research Center discusses a new poll which found that about half of non-Spanish-speaking Hispanics in our country have been shamed by other Hispanics for not speaking Spanish.

Then, Luis A. Miranda, Jr., a founding partner of Hamilton Campaign Network, discusses research finding that many Latino voters in New York believe the State is doing worse today than three years ago and that the community needs more leadership in elected office.
