NYC-DSA’S GROWTH, ELECTION VICTORIES AND FALL AGENDA
On Thursday, July 30 at 5:00 p.m. ET, host Jeff Simmons welcomes Gustavo Gordillo, co-chair of the New York City Democratic Socialists of America, to City Watch on WBAI 99.5 FM New York.
The conversation will explore the values and mission behind democratic socialism, NYC-DSA’s growth as a political and grassroots organization, and how it seeks to build power for working people across the five boroughs. Jeff and Gustavo will also discuss the organization’s recent congressional primary victories, gains in races for the New York State Legislature and the expanding influence of DSA-backed elected officials in New York City and Albany.
They will look ahead to NYC-DSA’s fall agenda and the effort to turn electoral victories into action at City Hall, in Albany and in Washington.
