MACABRE, BEYOND TOMORROW, JEAN SHEPHERD

On the Wednesday overnight, July 08 into 09, in THE DUSTBIN OF HISTORY, we hear the fifth in our series MACABRE from the Far East Network of the AFRTS, another early sci-fi story “Requiem” by Robert Heinlein from CBS on BEYOND TOMORROW, and of course another lost JEAN SHEPHERD episode from the Hines Collection on Monday July 09, 1962 “Cargo Cults, Hell Bound Train.”


MACABRE from AFRTS-FEN origination on Dec 11, 1961 #5 "The Midnight Horseman." A good screamer. A painting of a black knight...with occult powers! The announcer mentions that it's Halloween, indicating a possible rebroadcast at a later date. With John Buey as Jason, Frankie Ocha, Sandra Morey, Walt Sheldon, Milton Radmilovitch, William Verdier (performer, writer, director), technical supervisor Larry Dooley, sound patterns by James Connolly, announcer Al Lepage.

BEYOND TOMORROW from CBS on April 05, 1950 #1 "Requiem" by Robert Heinlein. The first show of the series, which evolved from the series "Beyond This World." The story old man who wanted to die on the moon. Host John W. Campbell Jr., starring Everett Sloane, produced by William N. Robson, directed by Mitchell Grayson, music by Henry Sylvern, adapted by Robert Cenedella.
