Hosts are then joined by Chicago's prominent anti-police abuse attorney Flint Taylor of the People's Law Office to talk about his life's work in freeing wrongly sentenced inmates. His new book titled The Conviction Machine: Prosecutors, Politicians, and Police Violence in Chicago outlines how the use of torture by the Chicago police department coerced confessions out of those in the African American community, some of who were sentenced to death or have been in prison for decades
