FR.CHARLES COUGHLIN'S INFLUENCE ON AMERICAN POLITICS

I’ll be joined by Michael Quinn — Brooklyn-born historian, playwright, actor, and entrepreneur — to talk about his Edinburgh Fringe debut of his autobiographical one-man play Feltman: World’s First Hot Dog. Quinn is also known for reviving the iconic Feltman’s of Coney Island brand.  Later, Geoffrey Cobb, retired New York City public high school teacher, historian, and author of seven books on Brooklyn history, including The Irish in New York, will discuss the Jewish Museum’s retrospective on labor activist Tom Mooney. We’ll also explore the powerful influence of Father Charles Coughlin’s 1930s radio show on American politics and society.
