North Woods – Dense and frigid, Indian country. Wild rice grows there.

The dunes are moving, destroying landscape. Roy's house destroyed. The SW community holds a fund raiser for Roy.

He goes with Flick to see the house. They climb the dune. See pieces of the house scattered. Sand will preserve it forever. (over Gesang)

Jersey Barrens - Jersey Devil. Underground fire in peat bed. It burned for years! Who knows what evil lurks!!
