North Woods – Dense and frigid, Indian country. Wild rice grows there.
The dunes are moving, destroying landscape. Roy's house destroyed. The SW community holds a fund raiser for Roy.
He goes with Flick to see the house. They climb the dune. See pieces of the house scattered. Sand will preserve it forever. (over Gesang)
