How to use this guide
This guide lists pros and cons for 249 candidates in every NY C race on the November 3 ballot except the three statewide contests. No candidate is ranked or recommended.
Find your races first. Your ballot shows only the districts for your registered address.
Look them up at Find My Poll Site, then use the District column below .
Pros summarize a candidate's documented record or their own stated case. Campaign sites and voter guide answers are self reported.
Cons report criticism from a named source, such as Citizens Union, a news outlet or a labor federation.
"No specific criticism found" means the cited sources raised none. It is not proof of a clean record.
Judges are compared by bar association ratings. NY C Bar "Not Approved" means qualifications were not shown to that committee. L GBT Bar "F ailed to Appear" means the candidate did not take part, not a negative finding.
