ON 'MAINTENANT 20: ON IMPROPERGANDA
ON MAINTENANT 20: A JOURNAL OF CONTEMPORARY DADA WRITING AND ART
On tonight’s show we’ll be joined by the publishers of Three Rooms Press, Kat Georges and Peter Carlaftes, to celebrate the 20th annual publication of MAINTENANT 20: A Journal of Contemporary Dada Writing and Art, edited by our guests, with contributions by 240 artists, writers, poets and philosophers around the world to examine the concept of “Improperganda,”
The Maintenant Dada series was established in 2008 to explore themes of politics, humanity, philosophy, and current concerns from an antiwar, anarchic (and often eye-opening) perspective.
This year’s edition is premised on the observation of its creators that “Politics has taken its turn to arrive at the worst and the creatures involved have become LOLiticians, their every move from either side laughable—that is, if you still believe in truth.”
