SEN. BERNIE SANDERS DEBUTS NEW "MEDICARE-FOR-ALL" BILL

During last year's Democratic presidential primary campaign, one of the main issues Sen. Bernie Sanders ran on was a call to create a new  "Medicare-for-All" program covering all residents of the US.  Last week, he released his new legislative proposal to do just that, and it was co-sponsored by 16 other Senators, far more than expected.  Many forces working to stop "TrumpCare" proposals in Congress are supporting the bill, and calling on Democrats to push it forward, and the new "Campaign for Guaranteed Healthcare" has been launched.

Co-Host Mark Hannay interviews Ben Day, Executive Director of Healthcare Now, and Mark Dudzic, Executive Director of the Labor Campaign for Single-Payer Healthcare, about what the bill would do, what it would mean for real people and employers, the new national grassroots campaign to promote it, and what the political landscape looks like for it.
