This week on State of the Arts NYC, we examine a quote by artist Pablo Picasso -- Every Thing You Can Imagine Is Real

Joining the show is Deborah Willis, Ph.D, University Professor and Chair of the Department of Photography & Imaging at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where she teaches courses on photography and imaging, iconicity, and cultural histories visualizing the black body, women, and gender.

 Kalia Brooks, PhD, is a New York based independent curator and writer. Brooks is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Photography and Imaging at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Brooks holds a Ph.D. in Aesthetics and Art Theory from the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. 

Daniel Marino is an architect and designer at the LAB at Rockwell Group specializing in temporary installations and experience design. His work currently focuses on architectural storytelling and designed experiences that translate brands into environments through unique immersions blending materials, technology and architecture. Prior to joining Rockwell Group, his interests in Branding and Architectural Identity have created opportunities with a diverse array of clients including Samsung, The Row, the NYC Department of Transportation, and the US Department of State. Daniel received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University and is a recipient of Cornell's Eidlitz Fellowship and a Cornell Council for the Arts grant.

Arianna Lebed is a Designer and Design Strategist at the LAB at Rockwell Group. She balances technical and conceptual methodologies and successfully applies them to various architectural and experiential programs and scales. Her projects at the LAB at Rockwell Group include Brightline, Florida’s new express passenger train service, the Museum of Feelings in New York, and Bloomingdale’s in California. Prior to joining Rockwell Group, she worked at Chanel’s Global Store Design division. Arianna graduated Salutatorian from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Architecture. She is a recipient of the AIA Henry Adams Certificate award.
