HOLIDAY  REBOOT  WBAI 12/ 17 to 1/1

(Most organizations beg for donations this time of year...and so are we!)

In the spirit of collective volunteerism that Sandy unleashed once again in NYC, as well as from people across the country, the sense of communal responsibility, is part of what motivates our work at WBAI day in and day out.

To that end, WBAI listeners are supporting WBAI to "REBOOT" and  get back on its feet after Hurricane Sandy by relocating to donated office space at 4 Vesey St and temporary uptown broadcast studios.

WBAI lost a great deal of revenue as a result of being evacuated from 120 Wall St. Our steady stream of BAI Buddy monthly subscribers had built a terrific momentum at its launch and we need to rebuild that interrupted momentum again!

Sandy hit NYC several days before our much publicized and anxiously awaited major fund raising event, the 1st Annual WBAI Art Auction. We were forced to cancel the auction but were able to re-schedule it for Dec. 5! As we all recover from the traumatic time we experienced, we invite you to join us in celebrating NYC's art community who have joined together to donate their work by bidding or buying online.

At the time WBAI was forced to leave our studios we were at the height of our FALL FUND DRIVE. Those lost days signify a substantial and much relied upon pool of donations that we are now needing to recoup.
