In this week's We Decide: America at the Crossroads we look at how the Trump regime's violent mass deportation strategy that's resulted in the murder of three American citizens in the last several weeks, took a once reliable Republican district so far left that an anti-ICE candidate prevailed in the Democratic primary to replace Mikie Sherrill who is now New Jersey's governor.

And several days into Black History Month, Jenna gets the backstory on how the ICE linked fatal shooting on New Year's Eve of Keith Porter , a Black man, fell off the national news wave after the broad daylight murder by ICE of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, who were both white.

In the headlines, Israel’s security cabinet approved measures to extend its control of the occupied West Bank. According to Al Jazeera, this includes easing the sale of Palestinian land to Israeli settlers and expanding the powers of Israeli authorities in areas under Palestinian control. Eight countries condemned Israel’s move for more control over the occupied West Bank including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey arguing this clears the way for more settlements on the occupied Palestinian territory.

The moderate socialist António José Seguro won a resounding victory in the second round of Portugal’s presidential election on Sunday, triumphing over his far-right opponent, André Ventura, whose Chega party still managed to take a record share of the vote.

According to the Guardian , Seguro won 66.8% of votes to Ventura’s 33.2% in the election, which went ahead despite weeks of disruption caused by deadly storms.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is weathering a storm of calls for his ouster on Monday after revelations about the relationship between former British Ambassador to Washington Peter Mandelson and Jeffrey Epstein were revealed in the most recent release of the Epstein files.

And in New Jersey, the primary race to fill the seat vacated by Governor Mikie Sherrill in the state's 11th district, progressive Analilia Mejia has prevailed over former Congressman Tom Malinowski.

Due to the extremely narrow margin of GOP control of the House of Representatives the race is of national significance. Mejia had the endorsement of Sen. Bernie Sanders as well as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and ran on an anti-ICE platform.

In the A Block today, we’ll look at President Trump’s calls for Republican lawmakers to “nationalize” the midterm elections, Bill and Hillary Clinton’s scheduled closed-door deposition this week in front of the House Oversight Committee, and Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos’s decision to lay off over 300 journalists this week with our political panel, David Levinthal, Washington DC correspondent and Senior Editor at NOTUS, Laura Jedeed, a writer at FirewalledMedia.com and an Army veteran of two tours in the War in Afghanistan, and Egberto Willies, host of KPFT's Politics Done Right.

In the B Block, we’ll turn our focus to progressive Analilia Mejia’s victory in the primary race to fill the seat vacated by Governor Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey's 11th district with Antionette Miles, State Director at the NJ Working Families Party and Micah Rasmussen, director of the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics at Rider University.

In the C Block, you will hear Jenna's interview with Professor Melina Abdullah , a professor in the Pan-African Studies department at California State University, Los Angeles, co-founder of Black Lives Matter – Los Angeles, and co-host of the weekly radio program Beautiful Struggle , which airs Tuesdays on the Pacifica Radio station KPFK in LA, about Keith Porter Jr, killed by an off-duty ICE agent on December 31, 2025.

And in the D Block, we spoke to Rosemari Mealy , adjunct Assistant Professor at the CUNY Center for Worker Education and Suzanne Adely , president of the National Lawyers Guild about an upcoming Supreme Court case that pits the Exxon Corporation against companies owned by the Cuban government over that country's nationalizing the giant conglomerates holdings. The outcome of the case will determine the future of the US-Cuba relationship as well as the future global reach of US multinational corporations.
