On Sunday June 4, 2017 we welcome music icon Eddie Palmieri and his lifelong friend, musicologist Rene Lopez to the Brooklyn Commons for an intimate afternoon celebrating the 80th birthday of the Sun of Latin Music. 

Together we will trace Mr. Palmieri’s musical trajectory spanning six decades, play some of his most treasured recordings and compositions, and discuss what is next for the living legend, both creatively and personally.
