—Trump rolls out a revised travel ban. Rebecca Myles reports. —The ACLU says the travel ban is still a Muslim ban and it is still unconstitutional. —Trump’s immigration stance has stirred panic in immigrant communities upstate.
—Homeland Secretary John Kelly references 9/11. He said those attacks taught us we could not take our nation’s security for granted.. that we needed to overcome our collective inability to connect the dots.” No mention that 15 of the hijackers were Saudis or that billions of dollars worth of bombs were sold to the Saudis who are bombing Yemen, one of the nations included in the ban.
—Trump’s travel ban comes amid allegations by Trump that Barack Obama tapped phones at Trump Tower during the election campaign. Nasty tweets about Obama from Trump followed Jeff Sessions recusing himself from investigations into whether Russia meddled in the election campaign. Sessions recused himself because he got caught lying to a Senate Committee during his confirmation hearing. Meanwhile Russia blamed mainstream media for not allowing Trump to even talk about improving ties with Russia.
