Keystone XL
- 01/09/2015 by Linda Perry (WBAI)

As expected, the House approved the Keystone XL oil pipeline despite President Barack Obama's veto threat.

However 350.org's Jamie Henn said “Today’s vote showed that there is more than enough support in the House to sustain a Presidential veto. Keystone XL remains President Obama’s decision–we are increasingly confident he’ll do the right thing and reject the pipeline on climate grounds once and for all.”

Here is a "Reject Keystone XL Now" petition to the White House. It calls on the President to remain resolute, because a great number of people are counting on him to keep dirty tar sands oil from Alberta in Canada out of the United States.
