A New York Federal Court Judge held a hearing today over the demand for compassionate release for civil rights attorney Lynne Stewart who is terminally ill with cancer.

Lynne Stewart's attorney filed an emergency motion in US Federal District Court last week asking the Judge to grant her compassionate release.Today Judge Koetl held a hearing over the motion.Outside and inside the court were many of Lynne's supporters.WBAI's Rebecca Myles files this report
