Jessica Gonzales-Rojas - New York State Assemblymember for the 34th District, covering parts of Jackson Heights, Woodside, Corona and East Elmhurst,having been elected in 2020 after defeating incumbent Michael DenDekker in the primary. González-Rojas previously served as the executive director of the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, an organization that advocates for access to affordable health and reproductive care for Latino and immigrant communities. González-Rojas has additionally served as an adjunct professor of Latino and Latin American Studies at the City University of New York's City College. Shaniyat Chowdhury - Shaniyat “Shan” is Southside Jamaica, Queens. He served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Field Radio Operator. His service continued in community organizing around housing, anti-poverty, immigrant, & foreign affairs policy— working on these various issues with think tanks and community organizations. His motivation for public policy ventured into working in the New York State Assembly as aide, staffer for AOC, and most recently running for Congress in NY-5, and this year running against Assembly Member David Weprin
