Ken Gale is subbing for Jim Freund's science fiction show Hour of the Wolf, interviewing Anthony Tollin, editor and publisher of reprints of the classic Shadow and Doc Savage novels ... one of which was adapted as the first Batman story.
     The Shadow and Doc Savage were super-heroes that the great Golden Age comic book creators grew up with, hence the many influences on comic book super-heroes. And The Shadow was the top-rated daytime radio series for nearly two decades.
