UKUMBWA SAUTI & GLENN APARICIO PARRY
Host Tiokasin Ghosthorse’s guest in the first half-hour is Ukumbwa Sauti, M.Ed. Ukumbwa is an initiated Elder in the Dagara tradition from Burkina Faso in west Africa and is a diviner, numerologist and spiritual counselor. He also works as an adjunct professor teaching cultural media studies. Ukumbwa has created a line of research and critique called "Indigeny & Energetics," some of the perspectives of which reside on his blog of the same name. Part of this work looks at the history and effects of Christianity in the Indigenous and modern world and the persistence of the elements of religious privilege and predatory missiology. Ukumbwa has been active in the Pan-African movement, Black Lives Matter and other anti-racism work and the Occupy/Decolonize to Liberate movements. He has presented at spiritual conferences and political events in the New England region and California and has been active in organizing ritual work in the Boston, New York and Toronto, Canada. Tiokasin’s guest in the second half-hour is Glenn Aparicio Parry, Ph.D. Glenn is a writer, educational consultant, international speaker, entrepreneur and visionary whose life-long passion is to reform thinking and education into a coherent, cohesive whole. He is Founder and past President of the SEED Institute and current President of the think tank, The Circle for Original Thinking. His book, “Original Thinking: A Radical Revisioning of Time, Humanity and Nature” recently won a Nautilus Award for Science and Cosmology.
