LATINOS WALK OUT OF MAYOR DE BLASIO MEETING

Javier Nieves and members of “The Campaign for a Fair Latino Representation” join us. The Mayor's Office had committed itself to have a Deputy Mayor and high level officials present to listen to the group’s concerns. Instead when only low level, powerless, "flack catchers" for the mayor were in attendance the group walked out. Mayoral aides sat flabbergasted. Tune in to find out what happened. Latinos are the most underrepresented group in the mayoral administration constituting only 12 percent of appointees despite representing 29 percent of the population of NYC.
