On Wednesday's edition of the Morning Show, Mimi Rosenberg and Michael G. Haskins hosted a special panel "Violence in Black & White: An American Chokehold," featuring:

Dr. Ron Daniels - President of the Institute of the Black World - 21st Century. Dr. Daniels has had a wide ranging career in politics and activism - previously serving as the Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights - the Executive Director of Rainbow / PUSH - and the Deputy Campaign manager for Jesse Jackson's 1988 presidential campaign.

Jill Nelson - is a prominent African-American journalist, whose work appeared in The New York Times, Essence, The Nation, Ms., the Chicago Tribune, the Village Voice, USA Today, USA Weekend, and was awarded the Washington DC Journalist of the year for her contributions. She has written several books, including the autobiographical Volunteer Slavery: My Authentic Negro Experience, and is the Editor, of Police Brutality: An Anthology.

Tim Wise - is one of the country’s leading anti-racist writers and activists and lecturers on issues of comparative racism, race and education and racism in the labor market. Wise is the author of six books, including his latest, dear White America: letter to a New Minority. His forthcoming book, The Culture of Cruelty: How America’s Elite Demonize the Poor, Valorize the Rich and Jeopardize the Future, will be released in 2014.
