Program description:
An eclectic music mix showcasing rare soul and roots reggae,
unsigned
artists, political sounds and live performance, with a little opera
and new wave thrown in.
Host/producer profiles:
Andrea Clarke has been DJing since 1987, being one of the first
female
DJs in the downtown club scene, introducing the mix of soul and
reggae to a new audience. She was first introduced to WBAI by Vicki
Starr in 1990 to co-host "Ghosts in the Machine," a music show
highlighting women in music. She has been collecting music since the
70's, and got her inspiration to DJ while living in London in the
early 80s. Sister from Another Planet was born in 1999, in a nebula
far far away.
