One Man's Family Premium - The Book of Pinky
4 1/2 Hours on three (90) tapes. The complete story compiled from 22 consecutive episodes of the daily 15" show.
Monday, Oct. 23, 1950 to Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1950
Book 79, Chapters 11-15; Book 80 Chapters 1-17
The saga of Pinky's fall from grace, as he quits school and is forced to go to work for Father Barbour to pay his debts, and his scheme to marry a rich girl to bail him out. Funny and touching. NOTE: The first tape contains 6 complete episodes. The other two tapes contain all the dramatic elements, but several repetitive commercials have been removed to fit it all on three cassettes. Trust me, if you've heard one Tabcin commercial, you've heard them all! Ditto Alka-Seltzer!

MP3 List
NEW FOR 2004 - GOLDEN AGE OF RADIO PREMIUM LIST
MP3 Files on CD-R discs
First, a word about this method of collecting and storing audio - MP3 is a computer file compression method that greatly reduces the size of .wav (audio) files. This allows many more programs to be stored on a CDR disc or portable playback device. The compression rate is variable - the lower the compression, the larger the file.
Old-time radio show collecting has seen a resurgence, thanks to file sharing over the Internet. In my opinion, however, this has led to a loss in audio quality of many of the programs, due to over-compression of the audio in order to save bandwidth. I am listing the following discs from a number of sources, but I’m grading them as to quality and file size.
Note: The program files on these discs cannot be played in a regular CD player. They can be played on the computer with nearly any audio program, such as Windows Media Player, WinAmp, or RealPlayer, as well as many newer home DVD players, or you can load them into portable MP3 devices. Special Note: Each disc counts as one selection!
