Program description:
The Community Bulletin Board is produced by a collective of WBAI
volunteers, based on information from a variety of community,
educational, and nonprofit organizations. They will gladly consider
all events consistent with the Pacifica mission that appeal to the
diversity of WBAI's listenership; the goal is to present a broad
variety of events, with a balance of political, activist, volunteer,
entertainment, health-related, and educational activities.
How to submit items:
Web (our first choice): Enter event yourself through this Website's Community Calendar.

Please include all relevant information in the body of the e-mail.
Attachments cannot always be opened.
PLEASE NOTE:
The Community Bulletin Board producers ask that items be submitted
at least two weeks in advance of the event date, and that they
include a phone number (with area code) that the public can call for
further information. Because of the large number of items submitted
and the limited length of the Community Bulletin Board, there can be
no guarantee that an item will be used, and generally an event will
be announced on only one Bulletin Board. Because the Community
Bulletin Board is compiled by volunteers who work around their other
commitments, and because it is recorded several days before airing,
late submissions cannot be used. Please submit items as early as
possible.
The Community Bulletin Board announcements are for informational
purposes only; WBAI does not necessarily endorse the activities
listed.
And please, when you call an organization to request information,
tell them that you heard about their event on PEACE AND JUSTICE
RADIO, WBAI, 99.5 FM in New York! And let the organizations in your
community know about this highly effective way of getting the word
out about events taking place in our listening area.
Have a great day!
