Ernesto “Chico” Alvarez Peraza, producer of this Latin jazz radio show, is a Latin American music artist who is known throughout the New York City and tri-state area simply as Chico Alvarez. He currently performs with the Afro-Cuban band Mafimba and has been a performer (mostly as the lead singer) for the last four decades.
