Health Action covers personal health, health policy and politics, the health industry, health science, and health social justice initiatives.

Kathryn Davis has been co-host and producer of Health Action since 1995 and producer of Heart Of Mind since 2000. Kathryn is a Meditation and Movement teacher, Spiritual Doula and Vibrational Healer. She is certified as a Qigong teacher and in Qigong healing techniques by OCOM, the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and is certified in Reiki Energy Healing as well as the Sandlin Technique, an Indigenous Energy Healing practice based on Vision Quest and Shamanic Insight.

Mark Hannay is Director of the Metro New York Health Care for All, a citywide coalition of community groups and labor unions that advocates for universal health care, and undertakes strategic issue campaigns strategic to that goal. He also co-chairs the Steering Committee of Health Care for All New York, a statewide consumer advocacy coalition focusing on state government, chairs the board of the national Universal Health Care Action Network, and helps coordinate the activities of Health Care for America Now in the New York City area.

Bob Lederer co-founded a collective AIDS program at WBAI in 1990. In 1994, the program was broadened and renamed Health Action, and Bob continued as a coordinating producer. From 2003 to 2006, he was also editor of the WBAI Website and Folio (printed program guide). From 2006 to 2013, he was a specialist in research, policy, and advocacy for Bronx Health Link, a nonprofit health education, research, and advocacy organization for Bronx residents, particularly low-income communities. For 30 years, Bob has also been an activist on various health and social justice issues. In addition, he has been a print journalist reporting on HIV/AIDS, health care, and human rights for such publications as City Limits, Spin Magazine, POZ (national magazine about living with HIV/AIDS, of which Bob was an editor) and various LGBT publications.
