40TH ANNUAL WEST INDIAN DAY PARADE
WBAI will broadcast live from Eastern Parkway on Monday, September 4, bringing you the sights and revelery from the 39th West Indian Day Parade! Coverage will begin at 3:00 am with co-hosts Kamau Khalfani and Angela Messiah, and many other WBAI producers. At 6:00 pm the action will return to the WBAI studios, where Ken Nash and Mimi Rosenberg host a five-hour marathon show honoring the work of the labor movement.

BUILDING BRIDGES LABOR DAY SPECIAL The five hour marathon show will examine the escalating war on workers’ standard of living featuring the struggle for national health care, the new surge in attacks against immigrants, and reports from labor around the world from Latin America to Africa, Iraq and South Korea. Plus a special tribute to a workers' heroine – Mother Jones. |
