Though President Obama’s nominee to head the CIA spoke of the need to “optimize transparency” at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday, John Brennan’s statements in response to questions about his knowledge and involvement in some of the most questionable activities of two presidents provided little clarity.  WBAI’s Andrea Sears spoke with Veke Johnson, director of Amnesty International USA’s Security With Human Rights Campaign.
