Intelligence Authorization Act was on fast track but Oregon Senator Ron Wyden stopped the bill

Last week Democratic Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon stopped the Intelligence Authorization Act from being passed, saying Title 5 of the bill would reduce access to information that the public has a right to know, by imposing harsh penalties on potential whistle blowers in the name of preventing leaks of classified material.  WBAI’s Andrea Sears spoke with Angela Canterbury, director of public policy at the Project On Government Oversight.
