July 15, 2014 — Lincoln Center announces today that it will live-stream a special all-star line-up Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seegeron Sunday, July 20 at 4:00 p.m. ET. Pete Seeger is associated with some of the most iconic American folk songs including “If I Had A Hammer,” “We Shall Not Be Moved,” and “Turn, Turn, Turn.” The free live-stream feed, hosted by NY1’s Budd Mishkin, will be available internationally at LincolnCenter.org/watch and seegerfest.org, and remain accessible through Monday, July 21.

This special memorial concert event was organized by Pete and Toshi Seeger’s grandson, Kitama Cahill-Jackson, as part of the five-daySeeger Fest celebration of their life and work. The all-star line-up of artists and speakers who had a close personal relationship with the Seegers include Judy Collins, Harry Belafonte, Dar Williams, Dan Zanes, Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary, Holly Near, as well as Adira and David Amram, Tom Chapin and The Chapin Sisters, Guy Davis, Emma’s Revolution, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, Kim & Reggie Harris, Fred Hellerman with Work o’ the Weavers, Hudson River Sloop Singers, The Owens Brothers, Martha Redbone, The Vanaver Caravan, Paul Winter Consort, and other members of the Seeger family.
