The report, When it Rains it Pours, concludes that extreme rain events are on the increase in New York State and that global warming is to blame.  The analysis done by the National Climate Data Center, looked at rain data from around the country and found a 30% increase in the number of heavy storms since 1948.  But they also learned those storms contained 10 percent more than rain than years previous.  WBAI's Christine Black spoke to Eric Whalen, field organizer with Environment New York and an upstate farm about her weather concerns.
