PACIFICA RADIO ARCHIVES AN AMERICAN TREASURE
- 04/14/2014

On Tuesday April 15, 2014 KPFK and the Pacifica stations celebrate 65 years of Pacifica radio on the air with a special day of fund raising for the Pacifica Radio Archives to help them fulfill their mission to preserve Pacifica's Broadcast legacy.

Pacifica Radio Archives is in the midst of a major project, partially funded by the National Archives of the United States, to preserve and make available the real history of the 20th century as broadcast by Pacifica Radio Stations KPFA, KPFK, WBAI, WPFW, KPFT. The project, American Women Making History and Culture 1963-1982, will bring relevant broadcasts from Pacifica Radio into the mainstream of American history.

We've made enormous progress, but we  cannot complete this project without your monetary support at this time.

We must match, dollar for dollar, the funds granted to us by the National Archives. We need to raise $50,000 today.

We've put together a NEW custom collection of over 100 hours of Pacifica Radio Stations' legacy broadcasts on a jump drive. It's yours for a donation of $250. If you've donated before, this is a NEW collection.

We need 200 people to donate at the 250 level to reach our goal.

Please call 800-735-0230, or contribute online to receive the thank you gift at pacificaradioarchives.org.
