Mayor Bloomberg Receives Fortune Society's David Rothenberg Achievement Award

The Fortune Society will present Mayor Michael Bloomberg with the David Rothenberg Achievement Award this evening at their Annual Fall Benefit. The Mayor is receiving this award for his steadfast commitment and support of successful reentry services for formerly incarcerated men and women.

The Fortune Society, one of the nation’s most respected nonprofit organizations, offers services to formerly incarcerated men and women. The Annual Fall Benefit at theTribeca Rooftop in Manhattan will support a vast array of support services that help Fortune’s clients successfully re-enter their communities after serving time in prisons and jail.

The evening will also feature Award-winning actor and Fortune Society Advisory Board member Charles S. Dutton. He'll perform a scene from his auto-biographical show “From Jail to Yale: Serving Time on Stage.”  Dutton served time in prison and successfully rebuilt his life becoming a Yale-educated, professional actor, producer and director.
